HER MIND, HER STORY | September Series
Conversations about the things women carry, the things we rarely say out loud, and the journey back to ourselves.
This September, I’m joining Liptember to help raise awareness and funds for women’s mental health. For me, this campaign is about so much more than wearing lipstick. It’s about creating conversations, listening to women’s stories and shining a light on the things so many of us carry quietly behind the scenes.
As the Founder and Creative Director of a.nty story, storytelling has always been at the heart of everything I create. Fashion, to me, is more than what we wear. It can be an expression of who we are, where we have been and who we are becoming. Every a.nty story piece is created around identity, courage, self-expression and the belief that every woman deserves to feel empowered to wear her story. This September, I want to take that conversation beyond what we wear and talk about what women carry within.
Women carry so much. We care for our families, build careers and businesses, navigate relationships, manage responsibilities and often put the needs of everyone around us before our own. Somewhere amongst all of that, we can become very good at saying, “I’m fine,” even when there is so much more happening beneath the surface.
That is why, throughout September, I’m creating a special a.nty story series called HER MIND, HER STORY. It is a series of conversations about women’s mental health, the things we carry quietly, the things we rarely say out loud and the journey of finding our way back to ourselves. Behind every woman is a story we may not see, and sometimes simply creating a space where a woman feels able to speak and knowing that someone is genuinely listening, can make a difference.
This is also why Liptember feels so meaningful to me. The campaign takes something as simple as wearing lipstick and turns it into an opportunity to encourage conversations and raise awareness and funds for women’s mental health. I love the idea of taking something associated with femininity, confidence and self-expression and allowing it to represent something much deeper.
There is a beautiful connection between this and what I believe about fashion. Clothes can be beautiful, but they can also carry meaning. They can tell our stories, express our identity and remind us of the strength we already have within ourselves. This September, lipstick becomes another symbol of that voice a way of saying, “I see you. I hear you. Your story matters.”
Throughout September, a.nty story will be supporting our Liptember fundraising campaign. With every a.nty story purchase made during the month, you’ll receive a complimentary lipstick, and $5 from every purchase will be donated to our Liptember fundraising campaign. If you would like to support the campaign directly, you can also contribute through my Liptember fundraising page. Every donation, every conversation and every moment of support helps bring greater awareness to women’s mental health.
Over the coming weeks, I’ll continue sharing conversations through HER MIND, HER STORY. I want this series to explore the things women carry, the emotions we sometimes keep to ourselves, the pressures we experience and what it means to reconnect with our own voice, identity and sense of self.
My hope is simple: that these conversations create a little more space for women to speak, to listen to one another and to remember that our stories deserve to be heard.
“Opening her mind is the beginning of healing. Sharing her story is how she finds her voice.”
Her Mind. Her Story. Her Voice.
This September, let’s wear our lipstick, start meaningful conversations and stand together in support of women’s mental health. 💄🩷
